The Misrach Center in Addis Ababa supports people with disabilities through education, rehabilitation, and integration into mainstream schools. Its vision is to be a leading institution for disability inclusion and a key partner in Ethiopia’s national poverty reduction efforts. For this film, we traveled to Addis Ababa to document the personal stories behind this mission. Despite the challenges of filming in a post-conflict setting, we were met with resilience, warmth, and optimism. The people I met showed inspiring strength in overcoming both environmental and personal hardships. Thanks to local translators, I captured their voices in multiple languages — including sign language.
