The book has been adapted for screens before in 1979 by Oscar winner Xavier Koller. While this version enjoys a cult status this project will be based on the book by Meinrad Inglin. With the rights for the adaptation secured, and first key positions and cast covered, the project is looking to expand the already secured financing.
